SERVICES · TAX CONSULTATION
Tax consultation for forward-looking Georgian tax and structure decisions.
Standalone consultation for the questions that come up before you commit — which Georgian tax regime fits your situation, whether to restructure across multiple entities, how Georgian setup interacts with your home-country tax position. €290 fixed for a 60-minute session, structured around your specific question, written follow-up summarising the analysis.
What you get#
A structured consultation focused on a specific Georgian tax-or-structure question, delivered as a 60-minute video call with written follow-up summarising the analysis. Tax Consultation is forward-looking advisory work — what should I do, how should I structure, what fits my situation. It's a different engagement type from Compliance Review (which confirms whether your current setup is compliant) and Accounting (which handles your ongoing monthly filings).
The structure has four other clean properties:
Conversation-driven, structured around your question. Most tax-and-structure questions don't have a single right answer — the answer depends on your specific configuration, your goals, your tolerance for operational complexity, your home-country position. A structured consultation works through your specifics rather than delivering generic answers from a checklist. Each Tax Consultation engagement is shaped around the actual question you're bringing.
Forward-looking advisory, not regulatory-status confirmation. If your question is "is my current setup compliant" — that's a Compliance Review (€290), not a Tax Consultation. If your question is "should I switch from IE to LLC" or "should I add a Virtual Zone status" or "how does my Georgian setup interact with my Israeli tax residency" — that's Tax Consultation. The distinction matters because the engagement shape differs: Compliance Review produces written status confirmation, Tax Consultation produces structured analysis of options.
Written follow-up summarising the analysis. After the session, you receive a written summary covering the question we worked through, the analysis we ran, the options identified, the recommendation if there's a clear one, and the open items if any need follow-up research. The written record matters — Tax Consultation often surfaces decisions that take weeks or months to act on, and you need the analysis available when you make the move.
Independent advisory throughout. No tied tax software, no commission for steering you toward additional engagements. If the consultation concludes "your existing setup is fine, don't change anything," that's the answer. If it concludes "switch from IE to VZ LLC over the next 12 months," that's the answer. We don't push restructuring engagements where the analysis doesn't support them.
The combined effect: structured advisory for the questions that actually warrant a session, with written analysis you can act on.
What we do#
The first 30 minutes of any Tax Consultation booking is identifying whether the question is genuinely a Tax Consultation engagement versus something simpler.
Step 1 — Question scoping. We work through what you're actually asking — which Georgian tax regime fits your situation, whether to restructure across multiple entities, how Georgian setup interacts with home-country tax residency, when to add Virtual Zone or International Company status to an existing LLC, whether HNW Tax Residency planning is realistic for your configuration. Some questions are genuine Tax Consultation engagements; others are quicker — a brief email reply, a Compliance Review, or pointing you to a body-content section that already covers the answer.
Step 2 — Pre-session preparation. Once the question is scoped and the engagement booked, we ask for relevant configuration details before the session — your existing Georgian setup if any, your home-country tax residency position, your business model and revenue profile, your forward-looking goals. Pre-session preparation lets us run analysis ahead of the call rather than spending session time on basic configuration questions.
Step 3 — Structured 60-minute session. Video call structured around your specific question. We walk through the analysis: the relevant Georgian tax framework, the options that fit your configuration, the trade-offs across the options, the recommendation where there's a clear one, the considerations where the right answer depends on factors only you can weigh. You ask questions throughout; the session works as a structured conversation rather than a one-way presentation.
Step 4 — Written follow-up. Within 3–5 working days of the session, you receive a written summary covering what we discussed, the analysis, the options, the recommendation, and any open items requiring follow-up research. The written record sits in your file for when you act on the decision — sometimes weeks, sometimes months later.
What's included#
- Question scoping conversation in the free consultation (identifying whether Tax Consultation is the right engagement)
- Pre-session preparation (configuration intake, ahead-of-session analysis)
- Structured 60-minute video call session
- Written follow-up summary delivered within 3–5 working days
- Email follow-up for clarification questions arising from the written summary (within reasonable scope)
- €290 fixed per engagement
For broader engagements that flow from Tax Consultation analysis (restructuring across entities, adding Virtual Zone or International Company status, switching tax regimes), we quote the implementation work separately. Tax Consultation is the analysis engagement; the implementation engagement follows if you proceed with a recommendation that requires it.
When Tax Consultation is the right engagement#
Tax Consultation fits readers with forward-looking questions that need structured analysis rather than quick answers. Common configurations:
Regime selection before company setup. "Should I set up as IE+SBS or LLC?" "Is Virtual Zone right for my software business?" "Does International Company status fit my IT operations?" "Is FIZ better than VZ for my configuration?" These questions warrant structured analysis when your configuration is meaningfully complex — multiple revenue streams, operational substance considerations, home-country tax interaction. Simple cases (foreign-client freelancer with modest revenue) often don't need Tax Consultation at all — the answer is IE+SBS, and that's the body content's recommendation.
Restructuring decisions for existing operations. "Should I switch from IE to LLC now that I'm scaling?" "Should I add VZ status to my existing LLC?" "Should I split my operations across multiple entities?" Restructuring decisions usually warrant Tax Consultation because the analysis depends on the specifics of your existing setup and your forward-looking trajectory.
Cross-border configuration questions. "How does my Georgian LLC interact with my Israeli tax residency?" "Can I keep UK tax residency while running a Georgian VZ LLC?" "What's the right home-country position when I'm planning Georgian HNW Tax Residency?" Cross-border questions are typically Tax Consultation territory — the answer depends on the home-country side, which is country-by-country specific. We discuss the Georgian side authoritatively and the home-country side at conceptual level, with the recommendation that detailed home-country tax positioning runs through your home-country advisor.
HNW Tax Residency programme planning. "Is HNW Tax Residency realistic for my configuration?" "Which Layer 2 satisfier (brokerage vs property vs business holdings) fits my situation?" "Should I plan HNW for year 1 or year 3?" HNW programme planning is genuinely complex — three layers all required, asset positioning matters, timing matters. Tax Consultation is the right engagement type for forward-looking HNW planning; if you're past the planning stage and ready to apply, the HNW Tax Residency engagement takes over.
When Tax Consultation isn't needed#
Some questions don't warrant a structured consultation engagement. Honest framing:
Quick configuration questions. "What's the IE Small Business Status turnover threshold?" Quick answer (500,000 GEL/year). Body content covers it; quick email reply suffices for active clients.
Compliance status confirmation. "Is my IE compliant with current SBS rules?" That's a Compliance Review (€290), not Tax Consultation. The engagement type difference matters — Compliance Review confirms current status; Tax Consultation analyses forward-looking decisions.
Body-content-already-covers-it questions. "How does the 1% IE+SBS regime work?" Body content (the Individual Entrepreneur page, this Services pillar overview) covers the framework. Most readers can self-serve through body content for foundational tax-framework questions.
Implementation work. Switching regimes, adding statuses, restructuring — these are implementation engagements priced separately from the Tax Consultation that scoped them. Don't pay Tax Consultation rates for what's actually setup work.
The Compliance Review (€290) is often the cheaper-and-better engagement for status-confirmation questions, and the broader Company Setup or Residency engagements handle the implementation. Tax Consultation is for the genuine forward-looking advisory question.
Why Happy Georgia#
Independent advisory. No tied tax software promotion, no commission for steering you toward additional engagements. The Tax Consultation might conclude "don't change anything, your current setup fits" — that's the actually-correct answer when it applies, and we say so even though it means no implementation engagement follows.
Foreign clients only. Our entire practice is foreigners running Georgian operations. We've worked through the Tax Consultation engagement for many configurations — Berlin freelancer evaluating IE+SBS vs VZ LLC for foreign software development clients, Tel Aviv founder restructuring from single LLC to LLC + IC status, Singapore-based investor planning HNW Tax Residency Layer 2 satisfier choice between brokerage portfolio and property purchase, London-based asset allocator scoping cross-border configuration around UK tax residency.
Fixed pricing, no tourist tax. Tax Consultation is €290 fixed per 60-minute session, including the written follow-up summary. The rate doesn't change mid-session and there are no surprise charges for the written follow-up. We quote in EUR, we honor the quote, no surprises later.
Trusted by clients across Western Europe, Israel, the UK, Singapore, and beyond.
Frequently asked questions#
How is Tax Consultation different from Compliance Review?#
Tax Consultation is forward-looking advisory: what should I do, how should I structure. Compliance Review is regulatory-status confirmation: is my current setup compliant. The engagement shapes are different — Tax Consultation produces structured analysis of options with written recommendation, Compliance Review produces written confirmation of regulatory status. Both engagements are €290 fixed; the deliverable differs.
How long does a typical session run?#
60 minutes. The pre-session preparation lets us run analysis before the call, so the session itself focuses on walking through findings, working through your questions, and reaching the recommendation. Multi-session engagements scope separately when a single 60-minute session genuinely isn't enough for a complex configuration (cross-border restructuring, multi-entity planning).
What if my question is bigger than one session?#
Some configurations warrant multi-session engagements — typically when the question spans regime selection, structure design, and implementation timing. We scope multi-session engagements in advance with appropriate pricing. Most Tax Consultation bookings are single-session; multi-session engagements are reserved for genuinely complex configurations.
Can I bring my existing tax advisor to the session?#
Yes, encouraged when the cross-border side is significant. Joint sessions with the foreign client's home-country tax advisor often produce better outcomes — we cover the Georgian side authoritatively, the home-country advisor covers their side authoritatively, and the integration becomes the conversation. Joint sessions don't typically change pricing.
What if my home-country tax residency is the harder question?#
We discuss the Georgian side authoritatively and the home-country side at conceptual level. For detailed home-country tax positioning (specific country residency tests, specific home-country tax-planning techniques), the recommendation is your home-country tax advisor — Tax Consultation isn't a home-country tax planning engagement. Cross-border configurations work best when both sides are advised by jurisdiction-specific specialists.
What's the deliverable, exactly?#
A written summary delivered within 3–5 working days covering: the question we worked through, the relevant Georgian tax framework, the options identified, the trade-offs across the options, the recommendation where there's a clear one, and any open items requiring follow-up research. The summary sits in your file for reference when you act on the decision — sometimes weeks, sometimes months later.
Can Tax Consultation result in a recommendation to do nothing?#
Frequently, actually. "Your existing setup fits your situation, the marginal benefit of switching to [other regime] doesn't justify the operational complexity, stay where you are" is a meaningful Tax Consultation outcome. Independent advisory means we don't push restructuring engagements where the analysis doesn't support them.
How does Tax Consultation interact with the broader Happy Georgia engagement?#
Tax Consultation is the analysis engagement. If the analysis recommends an action (switching regimes, adding statuses, restructuring across entities, pursuing HNW Tax Residency), the implementation engagement follows separately at the appropriate Company Setup, Residency, or Services pricing. Tax Consultation pricing covers the analysis and written follow-up; it doesn't include implementation work, and we don't charge Tax Consultation rates for setup work that's properly priced as setup.
What's the cancellation policy?#
Bookings can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the session at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the engagement fee, since the pre-session preparation work has been completed and the calendar slot is committed. Multi-session engagements operate on rolling scope rather than rigid scheduling.
Ready to book a session?#
A free consultation scopes whether Tax Consultation is the right engagement for your question — sometimes it is, sometimes a Compliance Review or a brief email exchange resolves the question more efficiently. For genuine forward-looking advisory questions, the engagement is structured: pre-session preparation, 60-minute video session, written follow-up within 3–5 working days. €290 fixed per engagement. Most consultation-scoping conversations resolve in 30 minutes, with the actual session booked once the engagement is confirmed.
